Your tasks:
- Designing and developing heavy mechanical sub‑assemblies including welded structures, machined parts and sheet‑metal components
- Taking full responsibility for engineering tasks from concept refinement to detailed SolidWorks design, validation and release to production
- Performing preliminary structural checks using hand calculations and SolidWorks Simulation and coordinating with the FEA team for detailed analysis
- Preparing manufacturing‑ready drawings with correct GD&T, welding specifications and assembly clarity and managing revisions in the PLM system
- Supporting prototype builds, resolving design‑related production issues and ensuring compliance with engineering standards and manufacturing practices
Your profile:
- Degree in civil engineering, industrial engineering, or comparable training
- At least 5 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in heavy machinery or industrial equipment
- Experience with imperial units, material standards and hardware selection, including power‑transmission components such as gearboxes, drives, shafts and bearings
- Knowledge of hydraulic systems, cast component manufacture and mechanism design (kinematics)
- Able to effectively communicate verbally and in written English
